Korean Presbyterian Church in Birmingham
Dedicates Life Center

Dedication ceremonies

A special event for the Korean Presbyterian Church of Birmingham in Pelham, Alabama took place on December 2, 2001 as the Life Center was dedicated to be used in God's service and for his glory. One year of construction and a budget of around half million dollars resulted in the Life Center (8,000 s.f.), field (20,000 s.f.) and the parking lot (capacity: 120 cars).

Pastor Steven Soon Son presided over this service and Rev. Terry Newland (Executive Presbyter of Sheppards and Lapsley) delivered a sermon based on John 21:1-17 entitled "Feed My Sheep." The Rev. William Giles led the benediction and Rev. Dana Waters congratulated the congregation. The facilities are intended not only for church use but also for service to the community, as Pastor Son emphasized. After the service, the two Women Mission Councils served refreshments and mementos of this event were distributed to all present.

South Highland Presbyterian Church supported this church from 1987 to 1994 by allowing the use of facilities and many other kinds of support.
